Our local newspaper has a year Baby Showcase, and I entered Pea in the mix. The best part, Pea won a $100.00 savings bond! Here is the picture I entered… I know, you’ve all seen it before. But I just love this picture! Today was my in-law’s 50th wedding anniversary party. I’m exhausted! I tried to get a picture of Johnny, but he was Johnathan Crankypants today. He stayed the night with his cousins last night, and they must have all stayed up playing their Nintendo DS things. We are all going to bed early tonight! I do have pictures of Miss Pea. She was all dolled up, and looked beautiful! Now that I look, I should pay attention to my backgrounds…there is... [more]
This is for Rhonda…I know she’s reading this (although I often question why ANYONE would want to read it…I’m boring!). Now, she’s famous!! Ha!! Johnny’s sick again. Poor kid, we did have a great easter though. Here are some pictures…. Johnny was really proud of his eggs! They turned out great! Pea found a glitter egg in her highchair seat. It was fun to chew on…and throw and chew on some more…She had glitter all over!! Happy 7 months Pea!! She’s growing beautifully! She’s trying to crawl, and pulled herself up this morning in her crib. Granted, she was already sitting up, but she did it! She has it in her mind to grab... [more]
We just got the word…it’s a SNOW DAY!! I’m so excited!! I don’t work on Mondays, and usually it’s just Pea and myself hanging out at home, but today Johnny is here too…it’s great! We’ve got a day of making cookies and brownies. Then we’ll make a great comfort food-y dinner. So much for Easter shopping…I’d rather be with the kids anytime! Some pictures…. Johnny’s just a wee bit excited on this St. Patrick’s Day! The view just as you open the front door. The neighbor’s yard, the trees are pretty! I love it when they have snow on them. Virginia’s first snow…Ha! Hmmm…before I open the... [more]
My main goal for the weekend was to get my Easter shopping done for the kids. Buy 14 dozen eggs, the dye, and all of the goodies for their baskets. First, I must find Pea a basket. This town just sucks for shopping. I wouldn’t have minded driving to Target (93 miles away), but the weather was crap. It’s so sad that to get some decent shopping we have to go to Kearney (93 miles away). Tomorrow, however, I will get the shopping done. Ordered my new digital camera, it will be here Thursday, no more crap pictures. Woot!! Tomorrow, Pea’s new car seat will be here! I cannot tell you how excited I am about that…I HATE the infant carrier. It’s such a pain. I know I didn’t... [more]
Yes folks, every once and a great while we get a wild hair. Have one of those “fly by the seat of your pants” moments. Monday, it happened. Sure, we’ve been looking for a new vehicle, to be more specific, a (gasp) van. Brandon wanted a Suburban, that would have been fine with me too, but I’m a part-time working Mom. That means a part-time paying check. Hmmm…car payment + the cost of gas = full time job for Mom. Uhmmm, it’s not going to happen. So, we thought a van would be a better match. Goodbye Goldie…Hello Virginia! It’s not brand spankin’ new, but it is to us. (Bless Brand, but he’s a tightwad, and Dave Ramsey must have said that... [more]
