Yes folks, every once and a great while we get a wild hair. Have one of those “fly by the seat of your pants” moments. Monday, it happened. Sure, we’ve been looking for a new vehicle, to be more specific, a (gasp) van. Brandon wanted a Suburban, that would have been fine with me too, but I’m a part-time working Mom. That means a part-time paying check. Hmmm…car payment + the cost of gas = full time job for Mom. Uhmmm, it’s not going to happen. So, we thought a van would be a better match. Goodbye Goldie…Hello Virginia! It’s not brand spankin’ new, but it is to us. (Bless Brand, but he’s a tightwad, and Dave Ramsey must have said that a brand new car was a bad idea!) Anyway, I love it!! It’s amazing, I feel like a responsible parent. Or more grown-up. Don’t get me wrong, I loved Goldie (and think I have always been a responsible parent) but she just wasn’t a family vehicle…but she did book. I love going fast. When the kids are grown and in college, or I guess that would be when Pea is in college, I sure hope to hell Johnny isn’t still in college, we’ll get a fast car. Something sporty. Back to Virginia the Van, which is the perfect name for her, she’s well taken care of, of course there are some issues, Brand wouldn’t buy it otherwise. He’s out there now dinking around. He’s just like a kid in a candy store!
Now for the fun stuff…here is a short video of Johnny demonstrating his Sound Project. I should have turned off the TV.
I took some pictures of Pea this morning…still hoping for a new digital camera soon. I think it’s time. My current camera is slowly dying, I think.
I asked for a smile, but Pea was more interested in making faces. Still quite the character!
