If I ever catch that damn bunny…

March 16, 2008

My main goal for the weekend was to get my Easter shopping done for the kids. Buy 14 dozen eggs, the dye, and all of the goodies for their baskets. First, I must find Pea a basket. This town just sucks for shopping. I wouldn’t have minded driving to Target (93 miles away), but the weather was crap. It’s so sad that to get some decent shopping we have to go to Kearney (93 miles away). Tomorrow, however, I will get the shopping done.

Ordered my new digital camera, it will be here Thursday, no more crap pictures. Woot!! Tomorrow, Pea’s new car seat will be here! I cannot tell you how excited I am about that…I HATE the infant carrier. It’s such a pain. I know I didn’t complain when she was 5 lbs…but now at 14, OMG, it’s killing me! Johnny made it to just about 5 months in one of those things, and Pea is pretty darn close to 7 months. I can’t do it anymore. Not only is it heavy, but Pea is pretty good at ripping whatever covers her up off. Nevermind that is 10 fricken degrees and the wind is blowing 30 mph. Oh no, we have to see everything.

Last night…oh last night. We were supposed to meet my friend Daisy for drinks at around 9:00, and since Spencer was in town and a newly of age adult, he was going with us. Brand’s mom came over to watch the kids, who were both in bed and she fell down the stairs! Twisted her knee pretty good. Thank goodness we hadn’t left yet. I thought we were going to have to call the ambulance. Needless to say, I stayed home with the kiddies and Brandon, Levi and Spencer went out. Damn them! Out ’til 1:30 the lot of them! I got my revenge today though, Brand had to get up, there was no sleeping in…”You wanna play, you’re gonna pay.” That’s my motto!!

As soon as Levi emails me, I’ll post of photo of Johnny last night at the Mid Nebraska Sports Banquet and Auction…or whatever it was called. He met his idol, Danny Woodhead (google him, I dare ya) and snapped a fantastic picture of the two. Johnny had a blast! Head coach Bo Pelini was there, as well as Ron Brown, but all we heard about was Danny Woodhead. I’ll hopefully get on that tomorrow. Until then…I’ll leave you with Miss Pea…
