There are moms out there who wish their little kiddies would sleep through the night. I had one of those children. She was a dream. From two weeks on, Miss Pea would sleep the entire night through. Eight o’clock at night, until eight o’clock in the morning. There were times I wished she’d get up. I missed rocking her, and it really wasn’t that much sleep I missed out on. Wishes have been granted my friends. She is up not once, not twice, but three times in the night! What in the world did I get myself into? For seven months she’s slept through the night. Tuesday night I went to Cats. It was absolutely fabulous! I loved it. Okay, so the event center where it was held wasn’t great, but the production was wonderful! At first I was confused, I so didn’t understand, until Memory. Then it clicked. From then on out I absolutely fell in love! The characters, the choreography…everything. Except the location. To give you some background, this was the first performance of this kind at the FirstTier Event Center in Kearney. They are trying to add more attractions to the place. Yes folks, it’s true. Our bathroom in the basement has been under remodel for 9 years. Why, you ask? I’m asking too. I’ve recently been very frustrated with the lack of work, progress, energy put into this bathroom. Mind you, all of the “fixings” have been bought, a shower (which is 9 years old , still in the box and one I no longer care for), vanity and sink, commode, tile for the floors, and tile for the shower, light fixtures, mirror and shelving. Hell, I even have the fixtures for the room, you know the towel racks, handles for the sink and toilet. All matching in a nice brushed nickel. Today we had BEAUTIFUL weather…well, minus the wind. It was pretty darn close to 80 degrees, it may have even passed that. Tonight we were all outside, the boys were throwing the football and Pea had her first ride in the swing! What fun! Our backyard looks like crapola! I think we (meaning Brand) will be busy fixing it up! Apparently we enjoy it so much that our mouth must stay open the entire time! Pea is doing so much, all at once. Last night she was playing on her tummy and then she was sitting up. She can handle that quite well! This morning she pulled herself up in her crib. It’s time to move the mattress down. My wedding ring. Not to bad, eh? Well, let’s get a look at a different angle…While at work on Saturday, I noticed that one of the diamonds had fallen out. It’s not a HUGE diamond, but it one from the wedding band. It kind of twists the emotions. I mean it’s not a big deal, and easy enough to get fixed, but from the BAND itself. Brand asked when the last time I had the prongs checked, and my response was one of hemming and hawing. I’ve always meant to, but never have. I will be more careful from now on. I’m curious as to others thoughts on immunizing your kids. Pea has had two bad reactions now. We are now 2 for 3. I feel that it is a responsibility to immunize, why risk your child? She can’t decide, so I must for her, it just really sucks that she’s been running a fever, and is so uncomfortable that she is screaming/whimpering/crying. Finally she ate for Brand tonight. Tonight, we pack up most of Pea’s old clothing (I had to keep some, I plan on having a quilt made someday of childhood clothing), her bathtub, bottles that she used for all of a week, and loads of other stuff she had either outgrown, or just didn’t use anymore. We gave it to this couple that are having a baby on May 4th. A little girl…and they don’t have a thing. Nothing. It breaks my heart.
