Have I mentioned I knit? Not well, but I can do it. Granted, it can’t be difficult…we’re talking dish cloths. I can knit the crap outta dish cloths. I started a blanket for Pea when I was pregnant, due to having really, really bad carpal tunnel while pregnant it was never finished. I’ve made it my new goal to finish the blanket before her birthday. Can it be done? I really hope…it’s going to cut into my reading time. I can knit or I can read. I haven’t figured out how to do both at once. I’d post a picture, because the yarn is absolutely fabulous, but I’ve only got a fourth of it done. Let me get at least half…then I’ll feel just a bit better about it.
Any other knitters? Got some tips for me? I could use them…I really could. I’d love to see some of your finished products.

I’m knew to knitting but I have found that it gets easier with practice. Sometimes when you are learning, it’s messy but in the end you’ll be glad you learned.
You’ll be able to finish it, I bet! Just do it while you are watching t.v. or just before you go to bed… that’s when I do mine. It’s kinda just lets your mind escape. =)
I’ve done a bit of knitting, myself! I’ve knitted a blanket for a friend’s baby, but nothing for my own, yet!
I agree about the reading–here’s what we need: they have digital music stands that you download the sheet music onto, and there’s a foot pedal to “turn” the pages. We need that for our books!
Nope, tried it, and it seemed WAY too hard for me!
So I crochet instead!!! I started a blanket for MacKenzie, while I was pg with Kaitlynn, and ended up finishing it for her instead! I still have to make one for Dahrran and MacKenzie yet!
In my experience, starting a knitting project when you also have a life and children and books to read is like putting guilt on layaway, because you lay out the money for the yarn from the same dye-lot and then you NEVER finish turning it into something useful. At least I never did…
Visiting from NCLM. I’m not a knitter, but I can point you to 2 bloggers that are. They are nice too.

I’ve been knitting for years, but I found it was next to impossible to get knitting done with a baby. The way I finally managed to finish my daughter’s baby blanket by the time she was 8 months old was we started getting together with friends every week to watch movies and I decided that I would set that time aside to get knitting done. Maybe you should find some nice long miniseries to watch in the evening so you can create some knitting time.
Have you signed up with Ravelry? It’s a great knitting and crochet community with tons of helpful people.
