Yesterday, we had Johnny’s second Go-Cart race. After the first race, I was still pretty unsure of my role as registration person/score keeper/Mama to a racer. I like my old title “Pit Mama”
(Hey, that would be a great shirt!) back. You know, it went pretty darn well. One of our very dear friends keeps score for us, but she had to go to another track to keep score for the Stock Cars in Lexington, so she helped me though Heats A and B. Johnny did well, he ended up second though out the Heat and Trophy Dash, but then ended up winning the Feature! It was great! He was pretty proud of himself as well.
First trophy for the year! He’s having fun. I’m getting used to the whole “Redneck” thing. I mean that in the best way possible. He loves to wear his cut off sleeve shirt, shorts…and live like a boy!
