Still Stewing

Earlier this week I was browsing through Mom Generations, formerly known as Pinks and Blues. I happened to click on the Celebrity Scoop and there was an article about Amanda Peet. Recently, Amanda Peet was featured in the family magazine Cookie. To read what she had to say, click here.

Maybe you’ve already heard about it. Maybe it doesn’t effect you. However, it does affect me. And a lot of other Mama’s that I know. I was completely appalled that she very explicitly name calls. Major put down. I found it very offensive. Why? The thing is, we’re all moms (or parents, sorry guys). We want the very best for our children. We want to keep them from harm. I like to think that Mom’s are in a great little “club”. We all have the same goals and aspirations in mind…our kiddies. We’re bonded to one another. Sure, we may not know each other on a face to face basis, but we have something in common, our children. I parent differently than the lady down the street, does that make me a bad parent? No! Diversity makes the world go round. Thank goodness for that!

Yes, I realize that Amanda Peet has apologized. I won’t change my mind though, I still think what she said was crappy and completely offensive.

WOW Sky! I hadn’t seen that! But I’m glad you posted it! What a crummy thing to say!!! She could’ve worded it better if she felt that strongly about it!
