We received the Rose Ballet/Flower in size 6-12 months. When I received the pair I’d been sent to review I was simply amazed! Not only are these shoes adorable, they are really well made! I love these shoes, seriously, I do. They are a great match for baby’s feet. Being a soft soled baby shoe, they are super easy to put on little feet. Come on, we all know how hard it is putting those baby feet into shoes, especially when they curl them just so. With Shooshoos, it’s not a problem! They are flexible, and move with the foot. Plus, they stay on. Yeah, how great is that! Pea doesn’t try to take them off, not one bit! Some other features that I love: Non-Slip Soles No laces... [more]
Pea received many very nice gifts for her birthday. A Miss Peridot Barbie, and Disney Princess purse, a Yorkiewith it’s own carrying case and accessories, clothing, money and Elmo cell phone and presents from Charlie, a sweet little guy in Australia. She got the stuffed koala and hat, it also came with a onesie and bag and a Noisy Animals book. My favorite thing is the book, it’s got a Dingo, Koala, Kangaroo, and Tasmanian Devil as some of the animals. Fun isn’t it? I’m still in awe that my girl is one. She is doing more and more each day. Tonight, when I asked if she’d like vegtables for dinner she shook her head no! Of course she ate her veggies! ... [more]

I can’t believe that the first week of school is to an end! It’s been fun. Johnny had a note home in his backpack about the Curriculum night on the 26th. This upcoming Tuesday. I removed myself from PTA after Johnny finished first grade. Which I hate. I’ve always wanted to be a PTA mom. They weren’t very welcoming to new ideas, or new anything. It was just darn awkward. Sometimes, it’s just better to give up the fight than to keep fighting. I’ve resigned myself to be the best damn Room Mom there is. Back to the subject at hand though, Curriculum night is on the 26th. The time? 4:00-5:15. It’s also and ice cream social from 5:00-5:15. Isn’t... [more]
Do you wear your baby? What kind of carrier do you use? I wear Pea quite often. We have a Ring Sling and a Sleepy Wrap. I’d love to get a Mei Tai. Hopefully I will soon. I wear her while grocery shopping, walking to the school to pick up Johnny, and you know it totally saved Pea from freezing when we were on vacation! Today, over at Adventures In Babywearing, Steph is answering some babywearing questions. Some great questions if you ask me. Check it out, you never know what you might learn! Read More →
This is Abbie. My brother and sister in law’s newest addition! Isn’t she just lovely? Let me tell you, the pictures make you ohhh and ahhh over the puppy goodness, seeing her for real…Ah, she’s a doll! Abbie is a 7 week old Golden Retriever. They have Callie (pictured below) a 3 year old Golden Retriever. I don’t know about you, but babies are my favorite thing, puppies and kids alike! Today is John’s last day of summer vacation. He’s heading back to school tomorrow. Excited, nah. Nervous, not at all. Dreading it, probably! I hope I’m not a bad mom for saying this, but I’m ready. Read More →
I do, they are still sleeping. Ahhh, yes. Sleeping little ones. I know that there are some people who shake their heads at this. I’ve never been able to get so much done in one morning! This is incredible. I know why Pea is still out, last night she did the Baby 500, walking up and down the driveway. Over and over again. Johnny just loves sleeping in…no rhyme or reason there! To top this Friday off, it’s raining. It smells wonderful, it’s dark and dreary…it’s my kind of day. We should be school shopping, but we’ll save it for the last minute. Read More →

I was really intrigued with this book. James Patterson is one of my favorite authors, well…kind of. I love the Alex Cross Series and Suzanne’s Diary for Nicholas is in my Top 10. I don’t really enjoy the books he writes with other authors but give them a shot anyway. Daniel X, had me interested though. You see, James Patterson has a ten year old son. He was concerned with the statistics about girls reading more than boys. So he’s doing something about that. This book and the others upcoming in the series is supposed to change things, and you know…I think it will. Everyone knows that my 8 year old isn’t a big reader. Quite frankly, reading is on the bottom... [more]
I was sent a big ole box. Addressed to me, where did it end up? At my husband’s office. This has happened more than once. I think it’s funny, and hey, if it saves their gas…why not? Brand’s office gets deliveries daily, and where there’s something for me, I get it at lunch time. Now, what was in the box? Over at Mom Select they had some goodies left over from BlogHer. Some serious swag! I’m sharing the love and sending 2 of my readers a package. The packages have some of the same, but some different. Each package will include Jif Peanut Butter, Rasinettes, Kung Fu Panda interactive CD from HP. Two $1.00 coupons towards Boogie Wipes and some great info on Disney... [more]
We made it. Our mini vacation was a lot of fun. We started off on Friday going to Grand Island, which is about two and a half hours away. We had lunch and shopped, they have a great mall! Then it was off to the Island Oasis Water Park. It was a blast! The wave pool, lazy river…all of it! The best part was catching up with an old friend. We hadn’t seen each other in years…and could have probably talked much longer than we did!Saturday morning we were up and ready to go to Kool-Aid Days in Hastings. Once we figured out where we were going, we hit Eileen’s Cookies. Soooo worth it! The special for the day, a Cherry Kool-Aid Chocolate Chip cookie. It was good! ... [more]

Tuesday night Johnny raced, and the above is just a small part of one race. He did well. Pea on the other hand had fun playing with Twizzlers. Read More →
Me, I’m one tired girl. This week is a killer. I’m working 8 hour days on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday because we are going on a mini-vacation on Friday and Saturday. To those working Mama’s out there…bless you. Seriously, you all know. It’s not like I’m just working my 8 hour job and then get come home to sit on my rump. Oh no! We had go cart races last night, thankfully it wasn’t 142 degrees like last week. Plus, laundry is piling up faster and faster. I’ve got to pack! Needless to say, I’m a bit overwhelmed. (Honestly, I’m wishing I had this stroller for vacation, all of my stress would just melt away!) I know it will... [more]

It’s killing me. I have been waiting for this book, and I haven’t had the chance to read it yet. This is torture. It. Is. Killing. Me. Why?? Okay, I’ve got a good reason…it’s for the kids. We are going on vacation this week, school shopping needs to be done, and Miss Pea has a birthday right around the corner. I can wait, ahem, patiently for my turn at the library. That’s not saying that I hope I’m one of the very first on the list, but I will wait. If you have read it, what did you thing? WAIT!!! No spoilers, just let me know. Loved it, or hate liked it. The one thing I will mention, I will be reading this book while wearing one of my new Twilight... [more]
Pea’s a girly-girl. She’s not going to let anyone forget it either. She’s so much more vocal than Johnny ever was. Sometimes, it’s not a good thing either. She has this high pitched scream that can blow ear drums. Seriously, when she does it while you are holding her, your ears are going to ring for at least 15 minutes. How do you get them to stop? Of course we tell her no, but she’s just expressing herself. I’m sure she means no harm! Or….or….is she preparing us for those teenage years? Is that it? Look at this face…Could you say no to that face? We do, for the record, we do. Pea had her hair cut this week, just trimmed. We are now... [more]
