I’m so proud of the boys! They made it to the final game and played against the Maroon team…who were very good. Purple kicked off first. I don’t know who was more excited! For being 3rd and 4th graders, the High School stands were packed! I can tell you, I was a nervous wreck!After the game the boys all received medals. And pizza. What’s better than pizza after a big game? Even though our boys didn’t win the game, they’ve won our hearts (over and over!) I’m beaming with pride. They played a fair game, and they had fun. I ask you, dear readers, could a face like this cause any trouble? Of course! My dear neighbor called us this morning right about 8 o’clock. The left side van door was open. As I went out to shut it, I knew, just knew, it had been left open all night. My suspicions were confirmed when Virginia wouldn’t start. It’s going to cost me a new battery. That boys and girls is why you never let your kids play with your keys. Miss Pea had Brand’s keys last night….and that’s the only reason the door would have been open. Pea’s got a Photo Shoot tomorrow with a local photographer. We are taking outdoor shots at Scouts Rest Ranch. I’m unprepared. I should have trimmed Pea’s hair up this week, I still have to find some pink, brown or cream dress shoes for her, and I need to pick out one more outfit. She’s got a cute black and white dress, a pink and brown polka dot corduroy dress. I’m going to take her leopard print furry coat and hat, just for another option. I don’t know how you people with more than one blog do it! Last week I joined the Nebraska Learns 2.o and started another blog to keep track of my Things. It’s called Seeryus Library 2.0. There are 23 Things that we are challenged to do, although I’ve done almost all of them. Just not podcasting. In return, you get 15 CE credits. Saturday morning I step out on the front porch to grab the paper and to my dismay find my Obama/Biden yard sign missing. Were the other two that were in my yard gone as well? No. I’m saddened. Yeah, I could order on from the website, but it could take another 8-12 weeks to arrive. There weren’t many to go around here in my little ol‘ town…but I was proud to have it in my yard. Just because you took my yard sign, doesn’t mean you’ve taken my voice. If anything has come out of this, I’ll be more proactive…and speak louder. That’s my little Democrat Pea. She knows I’m an Obama Mama. I’m so very proud to say that. All of the political talk has me thinking. Our local Mom’s group (LCM) is based online, but we have other activities where we all get together. Mom’s lunch today was one of those times. Lately, I’ve been political sparring with another fellow Mommy. She’s a smart cookie. Knows her stuff. Her and I don’t agree on much…well anything. As heated as things can get online, whether feelings get hurt or something comes off the wrong way, it’s great to know that face to face…we’re cool. There is just so much going on, football, the beautiful weather, Lincoln County Mommies just celebrated their first year (YEAH!), and last night I went to the Bumblebees and Ladybugs Consignment Sale. There are sales like this all over the country. This is the first time one was held here in my town. To say I was disappointed would be an understatement. However, I really hope that they try it again. It takes a lot of people to volunteer and contribute their items, and they didn’t have nearly the contributions.
