What have been the rewards and benefits of participating in the blogging community?
By far, the most incredible reward is the friends I’ve made. Granted, I’ve not met any of these ladies whose blogs I read in person…but I feel like I know them. They know me. We laugh together, cry together, celebrate in our success, we simply connect. It’s so incredibly powerful to connect with other women. Women, who like myself are Mothers or who aren’t.
I have learned so much from all of my blog reading, opened myself up to new ideas. I can not imagine myself without the blogging community. I’m not a big time blogger. There are so many I look up to, Steph over at Adventures in Babywearing, Jenny and Emily at Mommin‘ It Up and I can’t leave out Kristen at Mommy Needs A Cocktail. That girl has provided me with so many laughs in the past year and a half. But that’s only the half of it. I so appreciate the people who read Seeryus Mama. The people who like my blog enough to follow, subscribe…whatever.
Who knew? Never in a million years did I think I would become one of those moms who blog. I’ve slowly started reviewing and it’s so much fun! Each and every time a company wants for me to review a product I’m so honored. They want me. A girl from a small town in the middle of Nebraska.
Someday, this small town girl hopes to meet up with all of those awesome bloggers. Our strongest connection is that we are all women. Women with voices. And we know how to use them.
