SafetyCaps Review and Giveaway

If you’ve got a toddler in your house, you more than likely have those outlet protectors. Little fingers and outlets aren’t a good combo! Little fingers and outlet covers aren’t a good combo either. I was unaware how unsafe the covers were, until I heard about SafetyCaps. George DeCell is the founder of SafetyCaps. He cares about the safety of children and he wants to make sure your kids don’t choke on outlet covers like his daughter, Sage did. SafetyCaps are wider than the standard plug. They also have air-holes. I think they fit better in the outlets too. They aren’t easy to get out, I have a hard time getting them out. The others, no problem! Pea could pluck... [more]

Goldfish are a staple in our home. Pea has recently learned to say the word “fish”, and so now she can ask for her favorite snack by name. The Pepperidge Farm name has been around for over 40 years. You know its a smart product! Fishful Thinking is a tool for helping parents raise confident children who have the tools to successfully overcome obstacles, thrive in the face of adversity and reach their goals. The Fishful Thinking program provides the tools parents need to teach their kids how to think optimistically about themselves and how to use their Optimism to overcome life’s obstacles, persist in the face of adversity, and transform setbacks into manageable challenges.... [more]

Washing up.

Pea loves her dolls. Pea is also a normal toddler. She doesn’t stay clean long, and neither do those dolls. So, for the dolls that are washable, I put them in a pillowcase and throw them in the washer. The come out squeaky clean! But they make one heck of a racket in the dryer!  Read More →

Friday the 13th

We had a rough night. Pea was up at 2:00, then again at 3:00. She didn’t go back to bed after that. Apparently the princess didn’t want ANYONE to enjoy sleeping, because she wanted to party. I’m blaming it on Friday the 13th. Or, it could be the huge drop in barometric pressure. You see, yesterday was a sun-filled, crisp day. There wasn’t a cloud in the sky. It really was quite beautiful. I took this picture looking out of Johnny’s bedroom, because to be quite honest, I’m not going outside…if I can help it! It’s not the best picture, but it looks to be about a foot of snow, and it is still coming down! I wouldn’t mind 8 feet. Seriously.... [more]

bObles *Giveaway!*

**This giveaway is now closed! Congrats to Ann!!** bObles is a company I recently came across. And I’m so glad I did. I love the look of the bObles furniture. It’s so much more than that. bObles is so multi-functional! Take for instance the elephant shown above. It can be used to ride or flip it over and rock. For those older kids, it’s great to enhance their movement skills, they can practice their balancing by standing on it and rocking back and forth. Plus, it promotes the use of imagination! Take the pig and snake, pair them up and you’ve got a table and chair set! How cute would this be for a little one’s bedroom? All bObles animals are made from a strong... [more]
