Grow Up Strong

Did you know 75% of kids don’t get the recommended levels of calcium and vitamin D? General Mills has a solution. It’s a breakfast of cereal! General Mills Big G kid cereals are the only leading line of ready to eat cereals that provide 10% of the Daily Value of both calcium and vitamin D in each serving.

Calcium and vitamin D are essential nutrients for building strong bones and teeth. In fact, building bone mass is basically complete by the end of the teen years – after that, it begins to decrease.

All General Mills Big G cereals have at least eight grams of whole grain per serving, and all have 12 grams or less of sugar per serving. You know these cerals, we grew up with them! Kix (my favorite!), Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Lucky Charms, Trix (that silly rabbit!) and others. Paired with skim milk, cereal is one of the most nutritions breakfasts a kid can eat.

Check out Grow Up Strong with Big G, there is more nutrition information and a lot of cereal recipes, we are going to give the Cereal S’more Bars a try! I took a video of my two cherubs eating cereal this morning. Sometimes it really takes a while to get them to eat, or they just want to play!

Another reason our household purchases General Mills cereal is because if the Box Tops for Education. It’s so easy to cut out those little tops and it makes such a big difference for schools!

A big thank you to Mom Bloggers Club for this review.
