Keystone Candle Review

I love candles! Wonderful smelling candles. U.S. Candle Company has such candles! I was given the opportunity to try out a soy candle in the scent of Pumpkin Souffle. It is divine! U.S. Candle Company offers scented candles in a variety of delicious scents and vibrant colors. Their soy candles are made using 100% soybean wax. They come in a modern square container that fits well with any decor. There are 3 sizes to choose from regarding soy candles, votive, 5 oz and 12 oz. The prices are absolutely stunning as well. Just $9.50 for the 12 oz size! I think we are all guilty of spending way too much on those candles sold in specialty stores. There are 12 scents to choose from and an... [more]

Pinnington Bags Review

Say goodbye to those frumpy and not so cute diaper bags, then say hello to a Pinnington Bag. Pinnington Bags are unique, they stand out in a crowd! I had the absolute pleasure of trying out the above pictured bag. Each and every bag is handmade by Carly Liberatore. She started out learning to sew at a high-end drapery workroom in college and from there her love of fabrics shows. There is so much attention to detail, not to mention the patterns, color and texture of the luxurious fabrics. Each bag is a work of art! One of the most impressive things about the bag is the interior. When you open up a Pinnington Bag the inside a laminated lining that should be mandatory on every diaper bag. It also... [more]

Clever Rabbit Clothing Review

We were recently introduced to Clever Rabbit Clothing. What an impressive line of clothing! Not only are the designs funny and unique, but the quality of the clothing is outstanding. The range of items includes bibs, pants, lap tees, onesies, hats and thermals. You can shop by all organic clothing or gift sets. Taken from the Clever Rabbit Clothing website… At Clever Rabbit Clothing, we appreciate the joy, stress and cost that comes with being the parent of an infant. Based on that premise, we designed our humorous baby line with two people in mind; the ultra hip little ones and their intellectual, yet fashionable parents. Clever Rabbit Clothing stands out, who wouldn’t notice Calvin... [more]

FLOR Review and Giveaway

**Giveaway is now closed. Congrats to Kathleen W.!!** I’ll just come right out and admit it, I’m a rug snob. Yeah, I love floor rugs…but rarely do they meet my standards. Throughout our upstairs we have hardwood floors. I love my hardwood floors, and I’m really loving them with the Stitch In Time rug kit from FLOR. I wasn’t really sure what to expect. I mean, it’s carpet tiles. I was afraid of slipping tiles and a thin little carpet. Not the case! Not only is this rug one of the softest I’ve ever felt. It’s amazingly plush too considering it’s not a thick carpet. The Stitch in Time rug kit has a funky yet primitive design, it fits my style... [more]

Eebee’s Adventures

I’d like to introduce you to eebee’s adventures. There is an important philosophy behind eebee’s adventures and that is hands on learning! Whether you have a baby or a toddler, even as they get older, our children learn by “doing“. Why not encourage them even more with eebee’s adventures? Creators Stephen Gass and Don Burton both have a whole list of accomplishments…it’s truely amazing! It’s obvious that they have poured their hearts into eebee’s adventures! I was lucky enough to ask the creator of eebee’s adventures a couple of questions… How was Eebees created? Were you inspired by anyone? A few years back,... [more]

Girl Talk Thursday

I’m going to try out Girl Talk Thursday. Sponsored by Mommy Melee. It’s that time of the week where you can let your hair down. Let it loose! She explains it better than I… What is Girl Talk Thursday? It’s a chance to gossip and giggle, to speculate, to say bad words, to down a Margarita or rant (or rave) about your sex life. Even if weekly happy hours are an event from your former life, you can still take time to connect with your bloggy sisters. Grab the salt, a slice of lime, lick your friend your wrist, and go. This week we’re talking Twilight. Love it, hate it or don’t really care? Personally, I love it. They had me a “bite me.” Anyway, I... [more]

See Kai Run Review and Giveaway

**This giveaway is closed. Congrats to Emily B!!** See Kai Run is a brand of children’s shoe that goes above and beyond the rest. They have so many styles to choose from. In both the Smaller and See Kai Run line. Here’s a little bit more about See Kai Run (from the website), In 2002 I gave birth to a little boy named Kai. Two years later, I gave birth to a company called See Kai Run. See Kai Run was inspired by the need for comfortable shoes with flexible soles for my little Kai to wear outdoors. I wanted to create a line of shoes that was as happening as Kai – bold, hip, fun, with an urban sensibility. Something entirely different than what was offered. In November 2004 the... [more]

It’s a WAT-AAH Challenge!

Johnny is always excited to take part in any reviews. For this particular “challenge”…I didn’t say a word to him. I let him discover on his own! Johnny loves his soda. He’s not a fan of juice. Drinks milk occasionally, but Coca-Cola is his vice. I limit the number of soda’s he can have…and really push water. I was so excited to be included in the Wat-aah Challenge. It was a hit! Johnny came home for lunch on a weekday. He was grabbing for something to drink, when he spotted the WAT-AAH! He was hooked! After about a fourth of it, he told me that the water was so good. He was impressed! I’m in awe over his like for it! So, what exactly... [more]

Betcha Didn’t Know…

…I still have not read Water for Elephants. Believe me when I say I’ve tried…oh, how I’ve tried! It’s the whole circus thing. I envision clowns, hay and dirt. I pick up the book and start reading, but I have to read the same 3 pages over and over again. If only there weren’t a circus tent on the cover! Some people (okay, everyone I know who’ve read it) love that book. Me, not so much. The girl who will read anything under the sun. I can’t seem to get through that book! *This in response to Barking Mad. Participate…you might be glad you did. Of course it’s a contest! Could I pass up a chance for some good Twilight? Never! A huge thank you to Kristin over at An Ordinary Life! I won this Learning Tower over on her site just over a month ago. Johnny patiently put it together for Pea, and it’s hard to get her out of it! TuckerBags Review and Giveaway

**This giveaway is now closed. Congrats to Amy!** In our house, we are all about being friendly to our environment. One of the biggest changes we have made is not using paper or plastic sacks from the grocery store. After going grocery shopping, we’d have anywhere from 30-45 plastic sacks! What do you do with all of them? I hated throwing them away, but I don’t have a place to store them either. Enter, the TuckerBag.TuckerBags are great because they fold up into this little bitty pouch that fits in the palm of your hand. When I first pulled the TuckerBag from the pouch, I was in awe! It’s a really good sized bag! Yet, when it’s in the pouch it’s so small! I love... [more]

Refresh’n Dryer Towel Review and Giveaway

**This giveaway is now closed! Congrats to CandG~Jill W!** Laundry…In our house, it’s a battle that I can never win! I have a 9 year old who might wear a handful of shirts for a couple of hours then throw them on his bed, or on the floor. Are they dirty? No. Do I wash them? Yes. Now, I have an alternative. It’s the Refresh’n Dryer Towel. The Refresh’n Dryer Towel makes those clothes that are barely worn clean and freshly laundered! It’s super simple… Place DRY clothing items in dryer (up to 3 items at one time). Saturate the Refresh’n Dryer Towel with tap water. Wring out excess water. Lay the Refresh’n Dryer Towel flat, on top of... [more]

Well Worth The Wait

This is my entry for contest at An Ordinary Life. The grand prize, daddy-o of them all? A JVC Everio GZ-HD320. Yeah, pretty sweet. Each story of birth is incredible, and all are unique. To think that those little tiny babies, we create. Wow. Then, we get to spend the rest of our lives loving them. Unconditionally. I’m so lucky to be a mom! Now, for the story you’ve all been waiting for… My labor was an uneventful one. It was longer than my first, but the epidural worked so I was good. Two pushes and Pea was welcomed into the world with many tears of joy. My BFF cut the cord. Brand’s too much of a wienie. I love him, but that stuff just grosses him out. This... [more]
