Girl Talk Thursday

I’m going to try out Girl Talk Thursday. Sponsored by Mommy Melee. It’s that time of the week where you can let your hair down. Let it loose! She explains it better than I…

What is Girl Talk Thursday? It’s a chance to gossip and giggle, to speculate, to say bad words, to down a Margarita or rant (or rave) about your sex life. Even if weekly happy hours are an event from your former life, you can still take time to connect with your bloggy sisters. Grab the salt, a slice of lime, lick your friend your wrist, and go.

This week we’re talking Twilight. Love it, hate it or don’t really care?

Personally, I love it. They had me a “bite me.” Anyway, I had to wait patiently (or not!) for Breaking Dawn. Each and every book was more incredible than the next. I openly admit, I’m a girl who reads smut. There’s no Christian fiction for this girl! Sure, there’s been a time or two that I’ve picked a book up and read it only to find 20 pages in…that it’s lacking. Severely. I convinced myself Twilight would be the same way.

Oh, how I was wrong! It has all the passion a girl could want. It’s witty and most important…it grabs you from the get-go.

Now that I’ve been bitten, I listen to Twilight podcasts, I have a couple of shirts. I seriously can’t get enough. I hope that Stephenie Meyer keeps writing. She has a good thing going!

I’m with you – I love it. I actually had never read any of the books until I saw the movie. Then I got obsessed with reading the others! I loved ‘em!

I may need to give the series a go. Is it romance? That is my least favourite genre.

I have never read this book but I just might have to. It sure does have a lot of hype.

I read the first Anite Blake book and definitely that smutty! Twilight… not so much. ButI enjoyed Twilight (especially the first one) a lot more. The sweet, honest tension was preferable to more contrived random smut.

(Not that I always object to contrived random smut.)

Thanks so much for participating!

Oh Sky, darn you. I thought I could avoid all this Twilight craze and now that I know you love it – I may have to read one now…
