We were lucky enough to receive a copy of Dora the Explorer: Super Babies’ Dream Adventure. It’s a hit in the Seery household! Brand new from Nickelodeon Home Entertainment, it just hit the shelves this week. This 95 minute video is bound to please those Dora fans in your house!
In the featured episode Super Babies’ Dream Adventure, Dora’s baby twin brother and sister (Super Babies) are ready for their nap, but the Dream Fairy doesn’t show up! Together, the Super Babies and Dora try to wake up the sleeping Dream Fairy so she can give those good nap time dreams out.
There are 3 other episodes on this DVD which include Dora Helps the Birthday Wizzle, Pirate Treasure Hunt and Benny’s Treasure.
One of the reasons I like Dora the Explorer is because it’s so much more than just a TV show. Toddlers are taken with Dora because it’s not overwhelming. If you notice, Dora pauses 3 seconds after every question. Those 3 seconds provide time to process information. Repetition is also used and that’s a good thing for those little minds. It’s amazing to see the “a-ha moment” in Pea’s face. Then to have her repeat something back is great to hear.
Dora the Explorer: Super Babies’ Dream Adventure is available at The Nickelodeon Shop for $16.99.

My Julia LOVED Dora when she was 2 and 3. She still likes it now at 4, but not with the same obsession.
I’m wondering when Sophia will notice Dora. (She’s 19 months now.)
