That big orange thing?  It’s my lifesaver nightmare.  This week, we’ve run out of binkies.  They are just disappearing…and out of desperation, I ordered 7 more. I just wanted to give yet another shout out to the Campus Quilt giveaway over at Life in a House of Blue.  I don’t know if you are familiar with this company…if you aren’t….you should be!  I can think of 5 quilts that I’d love to have, you know, right off the top of my head.  In particular, I’d love to have a 20 square Wee Quilt for my mom.  She has 4 children and has kept various clothing from when we were kids.  Instead of keeping them in a tote to be brought out once every couple of years, a Wee Quilt would be a great alternative. October is a busy month.  On top of being Breast Cancer Awareness month (diamonds and rubies, girls feel your boobies), it’s SIDS Prevention month and International Dinosaur Month. One of Johnny’s favorite shows is Mythbusters, so you can imagine his surprise when the Mythbusters Weird World of Water science activity kid arrived on our doorstep. I’m not a touchy-feely kind of person.  The thought of a massage makes me cringe.  Oh, yes it does. However, after talking to the folks from EdenFantasys (whom I just love!), they suggested trying out the Contour 1 + Beyond Eurphoric set.  It’s a ceramic massage stone and massage lotion kit. To start with, the lotion is really spectacular.  It’s lightly scented…very nice when you are sensitive to different smells.  The last thing I want, a migraine from a scented product.  Not the case with the Beyond Eurphoric massage lotion.  It’s also more than just a lotion, it’s a moisterizer.  It leaves your skin feeling soft, not oily.  Yet another plus. ... [more]

In our quest to potty train, we’ve come across several different potties.  There are the seats, the potty chairs and then there is the Kiddyloo. The Kiddyloo is perfect for the independent kid.  With the Kiddyloo, Paige can climb up and sit down all by herself.  It lets her feel like a big girl, all the while I’m comfortable letting her climb up there without assistance.  There are non slip skids under the feet and on the step that offer stability as well as a “hook” that catches underneath the toilet seat. Sunday we went out to Cody Park to feed the geese that Paige loves so very much.  Geese was one of her first words.  Sunday we hit pay dirt at the bread store.  They had 20 bags (and by bags I mean industrial sized garbage sacks) full of bread, buns, english muffins and bagels.  All for $2.50.  Yes, $2.50! Recently, I was introduced to Calico Critters.  Talk about cute!  International Playthings sent the ever-so adorable Bunny and Chick Costume Critters for Paige.  Dressed in their Halloween finest, Simon the Squirrel, in a chick costume and Cristy the Cat, in a bunny costume have found a loving home with the Seery’s.
