Richard Scarry’s Busytownwas a part of my childhood and I’m excited to be able to provide my children with Busytown Mysteries on CBS. It’s hard to believe that Busytown has been around for 40 years! Richard Scarry’s books have sold over 150 million copies and have been translated into 30 languages, it’s pretty impressive! How I poured over the books, and until I heard from the One2One Network about this campaign, I’d realized how much I missed them! I’ve become reaquainted with familiar friends, Huckle Cat, Sally and Lowly Worm to solve the everyday mysteries in this brand new TV series airing on Saturday mornings.
I was sent out a DVD with 2 episodes and honestly, it couldn’t have arrived at a better time. We came to Omaha to help my SIL move…while I entertained Paige (easier said than done!). Thankfully, I popped in the DVD and we were off to Busytown! The half hour program is made of of two eleven minute episodes. It’s the perfect time length to keep the attention of toddlers and preschoolers. We used problem solving skills to figure out the mysteries.

Continue the entertainment and education with BusytownMysteries.com, a place where kids can explore different neighborhoods, interact with characters and play games and activities. Designed especially for preschoolers in mind. With BusytownMysteries.com, we started off picking our favorite character, the little lady bunny and a silly car, which of course was the pickle car (We’ll bring it back in good condition Mr. Fumble!), we decided to explore and headed to the park first. We brought baby butterflies to their mama. Then we headed to the Library where the librarian will help you with all of the different characters and items around Busytown. Then we made a collage! There is so much to do…and so many opportunities to learn.

Thanks for the review! i also grew up with Richard Scarry books, and it’s neat to see them brought to life with the cartoon. We only get one tv channel (yes, seriously) it’s PBS, so my kids are limited on what they watch. We do a lot of DVD’s and i’m really selective of what i let them watch. These sounds like something we’d like. i’m getting ready to check the website. Both my kids LOVE PBS.com, so i have a feeling they’ll enjoy this one too. thanks for sharing!
