Lu had surgery yesterday to remove what I called her Lady Lump off of her hip. Thankfully, it wasn’t cancer. It was a cyst, to which she now has a drainage tube sticking out of her. It’s disgusting.
The poor puppy feels like poo…I wish I could make it better for her. Here’s to hoping that tomorrow we can get that tube removed and she’ll be back to her Barky BonSchnauzer self, with 45 stitches. It’s probably not that many, it just looks like it.

Glad to hear she is doing well and it isn’t cancer. Mine always bounced back really quickly from things like this. The problem was always trying to slow them down.

I feel for you Lu! I had to have a cyst removed and a drainage tube too, was not fun. Hope she feels better soon!
It’s tough when your animals are down. I hope she feels better in no time. Animals don’t like it when they are knocked out for surgery. I don’t like it either. Better days ahead!!

I sure hope Lu is doing much better. We have 2 house dogs, small poodles, and we love and spoil them and so hate it when they are sick. Give her a kiss from us.
Im going back reading your posts. I had to read this one!!! Our little dog Liberty had surgery last year. We had to make a decision whether or not to save her. DUH!! She is our family. We almost lost her. the vet said one more day and she would not have lived. She is now my best buddy this year as I have a relapse of a chronic illness and in bed most of last year. She sits by my side all day and puts her paw on my arm when she KNOWS things are bad. I swear, she really just knows. I love her with all my heart and feel like she has saved me. Pets are not just animals. they are people too!!!
