A turkey dinner for eight as low as $20. Yeah, you heard me right. For as low as $20. That’s rocking, right?
Walmart is making that happen by offering Select Grade A Turkeys for 40 cents per pound. Make magic happen by following using this guide and your own personal touches:
- One 12-pound Grade A turkey*
- Three 11 to 15.5-ounce cans Green Giant vegetables
- Two 14-ounce cans Ocean Spray cranberry sauce
- Three 6-ounce boxes of Stove Top stuffing
- One 5-pound bag of red potatoes
- One 12-count package of Sara Lee dinner rolls
- One 22-ounce pumpkin roll cake
The fine print…*Prices and availability may vary in AK, HI, OK, NM, WI and at Walmart.com. Prices on select Grade A turkeys begin November 4; limit two turkeys per customer; weights and brands vary by store. Quantities are limited; no rain checks. All prices do not include tax.

In our house, Thanksgiving is a time for family. Hanging out with my brothers and mom…life couldn’t be better. I thought I would have a lovely Martha Stewart Thanksgiving this year…but it’s on the back burner. And I’m okay with that. Since I won’t be cooking the full meal, I’ll contribute by bringing one or two dishes to the table. One of the favorites is Pumpkin Sheet Cake. Let me warn you…it’s massive! A very moist cake with a lovely cream cheese frosting…the perfect ending to dinner.
Perfectly Pumpkin Cake:
CAKE:
4 eggs
1½ cups sugar
1 cup cooking oil
1 – 16 oz. can pumpkin
2 cups flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
2 teaspoons cinnamon
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
FROSTING:
1 3 oz. cream cheese (softened)
½ cup butter (softened)
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 cups powdered sugar
In mixing bowl – beat: eggs, sugar, oil, pumpkin until fluffy. Stir together: flour, baking powder, cinnamon, salt, soda. Add to the pumpkin mixture and mix.
15 X 10 pan – 350° – 23-30 minutes. Top with frosting.
