We feed this child. A lot. Yet, by listening to her, you’d never believe it. Typically, on a normal day I hear “I wanna EAT!” 4, 593 times. Okay, that number may be a smidgen high.
Paige starts off the day with either pancakes or waffles (woofles, as she calls them). Sometimes a piece of toast or cereal is added to that. She usually has water, juice and coffee. No, she doesn’t really drink the coffee, but she wants her own mug with coffee and cream.
About 10:30, I hear “I wanna EAT!”. So sometimes she has cheese, olives or dry cereal. About 11:30, I hear “I wanna EAT!”. I try to hold her off until noon…sometimes it happens, other times it doesn’t.
Then nap time. Quite. No, “I wanna EAT!”. The other night we had some killer meatballs (more on them to come) and she downed three of those bad boys in no time.
Bedtime is also peaceful. Usually Pea sleeps all night, life is good. 3:00 in the morning on Tuesday she started hollering for me. “Mama! Mama! I want out! Mama! I WANT OUT!”. Thank goodness for the crib! When I went in to her room, she said, you guessed it…”I wanna EAT!”. The kid was ready for woofles…at three in the morning.
I’m making my little girl sound like a chunk. She’s not. At 27 months, she comes in at right under 24 lbs…and that’s including her 2 lbs of hair. I don’t know what she does with it, or where it goes…but we’ll keep feeding her because she wants to EAT!

She is too adorable. My son was like that too, but he just kept growing and growing. The only thing chubby on him was his cheeks (like a little chipmunk!).
Kelly B´s last blog ..Thank You!!! Blog Win!!!
THey know what they need, I guess. I have a daughter who is the same. She is normal weight at 10 years old, and very into sports. She dreams about food. Before bed, she used to ask what is for breakfast. After school she is famished. and then asks…what’s for dinner? she has been interested in cooking since age 4…SERIOUSLY interested and had a cooking party for her birthday. Last year for Christmas she asked for Rachel Ray books. She wants to be the next big food star! Who knows??? Im glad she loves it…cuz she can take over MY kitchen any old time.
