Here and Gone

Our Christmas festivities started on Christmas Eve over at my In-Laws.  Johnny received a Nintendo DSi…which he was thrilled about.  (Side note, so help me Nintendo…if this puppy doesn’t last a year…you will be hearing from me.)  Paige had fun opening presents and and proclaiming everything cute or cool. She had excellent manners and said thank you after opening each gift.  The bummer was the Holiday Blizzard.  My SIL was snowed in at her home on the eastern part of the state.  In fact, she’s still snowed in!

Christmas morning the kids ended up sleeping in just a little bit, that’s one huge positive to hanging with the In-Laws the night before, we get home late and the kids are pooped!  The kids opened their big presents first, which meant that Johnny then opened everything else.  Paige was too excited about her kitchen. After hanging out at our house and playing with all the goods we headed for my Mama’s house.  Dinner, gifts and hanging with the family…life is good!

Since then, we’ve had the Seery Family Purge of 2009.  Out with the old, broken and just not played with.  Down with the decorations and the house is put back to normal.  Normal in a sense that it’s clean.  Really clean.  I’m not expecting it to last long, so I’m going to enjoy it while I have it.

It looks like it was a great day!! I bet Paige is loving her kitchen! And you’re loving things being back to normal? ;) I still have decorations up, they’ll come down on New Year’s Eve I think.

We also did the last big purge-a-palooza of ’09 … But I think there’s more to go still. We agreed equal number out that has come in. 19 total toys to purge. Seriously over the top.
