Making Perfect Scents! *CLOSED*

I love candles and smellies (ahem, good smellies) in the house.  What I don’t love is the black soot that comes from the candles.  Perhaps something is wrong with my house, but I’ve had several brands of candles fill my front room with soot and smoke, to the point that the smoke detector goes off.  I’m left with sooty walls and furniture/toys/floors that must be washed.

I’m no longer worried about a soot filled room with Scentsy.  Scentsy is a wickless candle system.  Using a warmer heated by a light bulb, bars of wax are heated releasing their delicious scents. Amazingly enough, Scentsy is a rather new company…yet it’s grown so fast.  Having celebrated 5 years, they have 40,000 Independent Consultants throughout North America, Puerto Rico and Guam.  That’s pretty impressive!

I was contacted by a Scentsy Independent Consultant, Kristin French.  She’s passionate about her Scentsy…and now I know why!  Kristin invited me to pick out a warmer of my liking and several different scents to try out.

Well, it wasn’t easy picking out a warmer!  There are so many great styles and with three different sizes.  There is the Full-Size Warmer (which I chose), approximately 4.5” wide and 6” tall; uses a 25-watt bulb. The Plug-In Warmer, great for rooms with limited counter space is approximately 3” wide and 3.5” tall (without the plug) and uses a 15-watt bulb.  Brand new to Scentsy is the Mid-Size Warmer.  It’s modestly sized and perfect for offices, dorms and compact living spaces, approximately 4” wide and 5” tall; uses a 20-watt bulb.

I choose the gorgeous Apollo Warmer from the new Olympus Collection.  I like that there are so many choices for the warmers.  From the Campus Collection Warmers to the new DIY (Design It Yourself) Warmers…there are so many options!

So easy to use, simply place one or two bar sections into your warmer, plug in and turn it on.  A beautiful glow from the light beams from the warmer and in no time you’ll have a very happy nose.  I’m impressed with the ease of changing scents too.  There is no need to use the same scent until it’s completely gone.  If you are ready for a change make sure that the wax is completely melted in the warmer, then pour the melted way into it’s original packaging to reform.  Clean dish with a paper towel.  You can store your used bar until you are ready to use it again.  Pretty smart, right?

Kristin was wonderful help when it came time to choose the scents.  They have more than 80 fragrances to choose from!  You’ll find just about every scent imaginable!  From the Spa to the Bakery…and everything in between.  I’m pretty particular when it comes to fragrance.  Kristin recommended the Clove and Cinnamon.  It smells just like Orange Spice Tea.  My mom used to drink that tea when I was little…the warm scent takes me back to my childhood.  I also tried the Welcome Home another cinnamon fragrance with other spice tones mixed in.  It’s a bit stronger than the Clove and Cinnamon, but I’ve enjoyed it none the less.  The third bar I tried had a cinnamon twist too it, but it goes in a different direction.  From the Fall and Winter Collection, I tried the Snowberry.  It’s really lovely!  It’s a blend of loganberry, strawberry, peppermint and cinnamon.  It smells like Christmas!

Now that I’ve tried Scentsy…I’m addicted.  I’ve found the Monthly Special, where they offer a special scent and warmer at a discounted price.  I love this months selection!  From now on, I’m a Scentsy girl…and Kristin is my Scentsy Gal.
