Just as Johnny was a fan of Bob the Builder back in the day, Paige is a fan of Handy Manny. In fact, on Wednesday, Johnny was putting together a toy organizer for Paige and Handy Manny was on. Paige decided to call herself Handy Paige because they had a screwdriver and hammer out. Just as a side note, the hammer was not needed, but Paige wanted a tool, so Johnny gave her that. Parental supervision was needed!
This Saturday at 7:00 PM (check local listings) the Disney Channel is airing Handy Manny Big Race featuring NASCAR champion Dale Ernhardt Jr. If you are familiar with the show you’ll know that Wilmer Valderama is the voice of Manny. In addition to Dale Earnhardt Jr., Lance Bass will join the show and just a head up…there will be music! Yay!
Earlier this week we saw a print ad for Handy Manny Big Race…and Paige wanted to watch it…right then and there. I can tell you what we’ll be doing Saturday night!
Handy Manny Big Race gets the gang together as they prepare for the Wood Vally 500 race. Elliot needs help to get his race car ready for the big race and thankfully, Manny and famous racer, Chase Davis (Dale Ernhardt Jr.) pitch in to help him out. Will Elliot win? Or, is there a twist? Find out for yourself, but I will tell you that teamwork, friendship and winning…it goes hand in hand!

There are no little ones in my household, and this is my intro to Handy Manny. What a wonderful can-do series for kids! They will grow up believing they “can do” just like Manny. I remember the first time I did dry-walling; I stood back and said “Why did I ever think I couldn’t do this?”!! I just wish Abuelito had fixed his own bed instead of calling in Manny; perhaps Abuelito is just too busy doing bio-research on his fish farm!
