Rockin’ Out with Joanie Leeds! *Giveaway*

I’ve written before about Paige’s love for music.  Well, recently we were sent the brand new work from Joanie Leeds and the Nightlights, I’m a Rock Star.  And we’ve been rockin’ out!   I’m a Rock Star was just released TODAY!  Available on City Kid Music, iTunes and of course at live shows.

This is the first CD I’ve had of with the soulful voice of Joanie Leeds, and it won’t be the last.  I was hooked from the beginning with I’m a Rock Star…and so was Paige.  We listen to CD’s in her room, and oh…did we dance!  I’m a Rock Star has 13 tracks, with songs between 1:30 and 2:47 long.  Just right for my little girl’s attention span.  Each song has a different beat…and that voice!  Joanie has a voice that is unforgettable.  It’s full of energy and reaches down to your soul.  My favorite son is  Give Me A Hug.  It’s a sweet song that will make you humming along and then singing out loud.  Joanie has a real talent and I’m so lucky to have been introduced to her music!

Joanie says, “I love the way City Kid, turned out, but I wanted to bring a more sophisticated sound to I’m a Rock Star. The blueprint for I’m A Rock Star includes exploration, self-expression, and variety, all in a musically authentic context. I wanted everything to be fun and positive, but it was also important for me not to make musical compromises. Kids deserve no less than an authentic musical experience. The magic really began when, on tour in Nashville last year, I met some incredible musicians, and we ended up recording together at the amazing Zodlounge music production studio. (Zodlounge has produced albums for artists like Kenny Loggins and Leann Rimes.) These guys – the musicians and my production team — really took this project to the next level. I’m so excited about the way the album turned out that I can’t wait for the release!”
