It’s My Calling…Card

May 5, 2010 · 1 comment

Recently, I had the pleasure of trying out a few items from Cardstore.com.  It took a few days to figure out what to pick and I had fun customizing different cards…especially the photo cards.  In the end though, I decided on some mommy cards, something different from my Seeryus Mama cards.  Why?  Well, I just a few days before, Johnny’s baseball coach needed our contact information.  Seeryus Mama is MY contact and blog info, I really needed something that reflects my mom-ness and mom duties.

As you can see from the card on  the left, I was able to customize the card to my liking.  I picked out the font and font color.  That particular card has several other color combination’s with the brown, the pink and brown happens to be my favorite.  What good is a card that only has my name on the front?  In the second picture in this post, you can see the back of the card, which I was able to customize with the information I wanted.  (Sorry, the flowers are a bit of photo editing on my part.  It’s not that I don’t want the phone calls…I just don’t want the digits falling into the wrong hands!) Along with the mommy cards came a green card holder (pictured center).  It’s just that little something that takes their product above and beyond.

Cardstore.com has prided themselves on their green.  And by green I mean eco-conscious practices.

Cardstore.com prints most of our cards on recycled, eco-friendly paper from Mohawk. This paper is made up of 100% post-consumer waste, is processed chlorine free and is Green Seal Certified. In addition our paper is manufactured entirely with wind-generated electricity.

They make what they sell and they stay away from mass production in order to keep unused product out of the landfills.

In addition to my mommy cards, I personalized several different thank you cards, and picked my favorite, the hot pink below.  I left the inside blank, but there were many options to jazz it up.  From photos to different text options…surely there is something for everyone!

Cardstore.com is affordable.  I was able to get two sets of cards (50 cards in total) and the pink card that I’m hanging on my bulletin board for under $35.00.  I was surprised how fast items arrived at my house.  I don’t mind the extra wait time for personalized items, but my items from Cardstore.com had a fairly quick turnaround time.  It was surprising!  It was a great shopping experience and I will be purchasing from them again.
