Johnny is really enjoying Yoursphere.com. He’s able to hop on the computer and play games, connect with kids his age and check out all of his interests, sports, music and gaming.
As a parent, I love that I don’t have to monitor his every move on a social networking site. There is no worry that he’ll get into something that is inappropriate or contacted by someone who isn’t who they say they are.
Thus far, Johnny likes playing in the virtual world, ourWorld. He’s tried to explain it to me…but there are games and things you can do to get your avatar to flow and level up, which unlocks different aspects of the world or allows you to do more. There is even the opportunity to earn prizes.
I know I’ve mentioned it before, but I like the freedom that this allows both of us. I don’t have to sit in the same room constantly peeking over Johnny’s shoulder.
