Fighting Protein Stains with Seeryus Scientists!

August 29, 2010 · 8 comments

Protein Stains.  As a mom, I’m constantly fighting them.  When the kids were infants it was formula stains (which could be the worst stain in history!) and now we are fighting grass and mud stains.  That means I’m standing over the washer with my Stain Fighting Bucket (SFB) that includes liquid stain remover, a powdered oxy product, various brushes ranging from scrub brush to tooth brush in size.

I have better things to do with my time.

That’s where Wisk Laundry Detergent with the new Stain Spectrum Technology comes in. I touched a bit on the different stains in my previous Wisk post and grass stains always seem to get me.  Especially with those white football and baseball pants.  Don’t even get me started on the color of the pants!  Anyway, we start out the season on a good note and I can get those stains out with a little elbow grease…but it never fails – by the end of the season the pants look like the are washed in grass.  It’s that bad.

Johnny and Paige were eager to help their mama out, they donned their scientist jackets, eye goggles, open mind and became Seeryus Scientists!

Watch our video…but first let me apologize for the quality.  Brandon was installing the carpet in our bedroom (yay for carpet!) that’s the banging you hear.  Then you can hear me breathing as it was a horrible day for my asthma and allergies (boo for allergies!).  Professional video taker, I am not.  There’s bouncing and I flub a few times.  Just ignore…mmm’kay?  Thanks!

This experiment was fun…and Paige could do it over and over again!  She’s going to make a great wife!  Anyway, I can’t say I was too surprised with the results.  You see, I cheated and used the detergent earlier this week.  Here’s how it played out.  Brand had taken Paige and was working on my brother’s water line.  Water + Dirt = MUD.  Pink pants + Mud = MESS  You can see where I’m going.  So, Paige comes home with mud all over her bum and because I was busy making dinner, then doing dishes and then homework, I forgot all about those muddy pants – until the next morning!  I remembered and almost cried.  Mud is hard to get out of pants, this I know.

Not anymore.  I poured a little bit of Wisk Laundry Detergent on the seat of Paige’s pants, started the washer, threw the clothes in with her pink pants last.  To my surprise, I didn’t have to wash the pants again!  Wisk took care of the mud…her pants look brand new (since she’d only wore them that one time!) as they should.

For that, I’m grateful.  I have enough to do without fighting stains.

*giggles* lovin the scientists you have there…. ;)

I have long known, that Wisk is a mom’s best friend. When it comes to my boys; ugly hardcore stuff always makes it way to their clothes, for those dirty jobs — Wisk is my answer. I only wish I had such awesome scientists to help, like you did. ;)

Their enthusiasm was the best! Paige could NOT wait!!! You are such a sweet mom. I love how you talked to them.

I’m so glad Wisk sent you two of everything so they could both help!

I’m really liking Wisk so far!!!
