Jake and the Never Land Pirates from Disney Junior

One of my favorite things about the upcoming holiday season is all of the special holiday episodes of our favorite shows.  Another one to add to our list is Jake and the Never Land Pirates It’s A Winter Neverland!/Hook On Ice airing Friday, December 2nd at 8:30 am EST.  Jake, Izzy and Cubby awake to find that Peter Pan has left the crew some presents and a tree to celebrate Winter Treasure Day, and Captain Hook invites Jake and the crew on a winter treasure hunt.  Woo-hoo!  We had a special sneak peek and I’ve promised to make sure Grandma has the time and channel marked down.

While Jake and the Never Land Pirates is cable’s number one series for boys age 2-5, my 4 year old daughter loves this series too.  On daily from 8:30-9:00 am EST, it’s full of action, adventure and teamwork as Jake, Izzy and Cubby, the kid pirates work together to outsmart Captain Hook and Mr. Smee.  You’ll recognize characters from the everloved Peter Pan!  There’s nothing better than a good mystery that my toddler can be a part of solving!  It’s fun for me to see those activities reenacted by Paige.  It’s great to see a relatively new show rise to a popular status so quick!

I’m excited to share some exciting news from Disney Junior, too!  Beginning in early 2012, a brand new 24-Hour Disney Junior station.  The moms have spoken and Disney Junior is listening.  I, for one, am pleased.  Whether we’re up from midnight to 4 am {it does happen!} or cuddling on the couch, I’ll be happy to have something other than infomercials on!

*We received a special Jake and the Never Land Pirates gift pack for posting.  As always, thoughts and opinions are my own.*

They are SO smart to make Disney Junior 24 hour programming. That’s wonderful!
