I’ve known about Udi’s Gluten Free for a while, in fact I wrote about them last year after a box full of goodies landed on my doorstep. The gulten-free market in my parts is pretty small, sure Walmart and the other grocery stores have a small (but growing!) selection of gluten free products, but I couldn’t specifically find the Udi’s brand until recently.
I was approached by Udi’s to try out their newest dinner rolls, just in time for Thanksgiving and then Superstorm Sandy put a kink in things. So, instead they sent out coupons and I could purchase my own. My local store doesn’t carry these new rolls, but they are willing to get them (how cool is that?), however it could take 3-4 weeks. I was really looking forward to trying the new Classic French Dinner Rolls, a staple at any Thanksgiving meal!
My new sister-in-law has a gluten free diet. Until you have someone who is gluten-free, it’s difficult to understand. While my brother and his wife are spending Thanksgiving with her family – I’m now fully prepared for their next visit!
I purchased a couple of new items I’ve not tried before – Cinnamon Raisin Bread and Chocolate Chip cookies.
My kiddos love the cookies! Johnny is pretty picky and he didn’t want to try them…lo and behold, he’s a fan! I’m digging the Cinnamon Raisin Bread, I can pop a slice or two in the toaster and head to work. (I’m kind of a weirdo, I don’t like butter on bread). Sooo good!
Whether you live in a big city or small town, check for Udi’s at your local markets or small health food stores.
