Last September when I went to New York City, I met Rhea.  She’s such an incredible person!  Seriously.  Check out her blog, Mommy23Monkeys.com and you’ll see why. Right now, Rhea needs our help.  Her cousin’s 11 month old daughter, Penelope has recently been diagnosed with Stage 4 Neuroblastoma.  And insurance is only going to cover 60% of her treatments. This last week, the weather has been beautiful.  There were a few times I thought about busting out the flip flops and capris!  I don’t know what it is about spring, but it makes me want to get with it!  I want to spice up my wardrobe, start a beauty routine and keep my greys under control.  However, that takes time and money…or does it? Brandon and I are working on making dinners easier.  In the last year we’ve really struggled with grocery shopping and meal planning.  In the past, I would go to the grocery store every two weeks.  We’d come home with a load of groceries and still ask…”What’s for dinner?” So, we’ve decided to grocery shop every week, usually on Sunday.  Before going to the store, we sit down to write what’s on the menu.  So far, so good.  This week we’re having: Sunday – Steaks, pasta salad garlic and mushroom green beans Monday – Spaghetti, garlic rolls, salad Tuesday - Sloppy Joe’s, baked french fries Wednesday – Roast Chicken... [more]

Growing up, we always had 4-5 pot pies in the freezer for those times when mom didn’t feel like making anything or it was just one of those days.  From what I can remember, my brothers and I didn’t complain!  We loved those things! Are you ready for yet another week of The View?  The line up for the rest of the week is as follows: Tuesday, Feb 23: MTV’s Jersey Shore will be joining the ladies.  Now, I’ll admit…I’ve never seen Jersey Shore.  I still watch MTV, but I’m more inclined to watch Nitro Circus, Jackass or 16…and Pregnant.  From what I do know about Jersey Shore…I’m excited to watch, it will be interesting.  I’ve read several bits of controversy regarding the show. I have some exciting news to share!  Friday, I received word that I am an official Brand Ambassador for The View!  *squeeeeeeeee* I started watching The View when I was pregnant with Johnny in 1999.  There were a few years in there when I was working days and wasn’t able to partake in my morning show, summers and non-school days being the exception.
