I think *gulp* I have Spring Fever. I want to completely redecorate the kid’s bedrooms.  From the wall decor to the kids bedding, I’m ready for a change. Johnny wants a NY Jets room…easy. I’ve found foot lockers to the Fat Heads wall clings.  Perfect. Paige’s room is a bit more difficult.  In fact, I’m stuck.  I know I should change it from a nursery to a big girl room, but…but.  Yeah. Brandon and I are working on making dinners easier.  In the last year we’ve really struggled with grocery shopping and meal planning.  In the past, I would go to the grocery store every two weeks.  We’d come home with a load of groceries and still ask…”What’s for dinner?” So, we’ve decided to grocery shop every week, usually on Sunday.  Before going to the store, we sit down to write what’s on the menu.  So far, so good.  This week we’re having: Sunday – Steaks, pasta salad garlic and mushroom green beans Monday – Spaghetti, garlic rolls, salad Tuesday - Sloppy Joe’s, baked french fries Wednesday – Roast Chicken... [more]

Are you ready for yet another week of The View?  The line up for the rest of the week is as follows: Tuesday, Feb 23: MTV’s Jersey Shore will be joining the ladies.  Now, I’ll admit…I’ve never seen Jersey Shore.  I still watch MTV, but I’m more inclined to watch Nitro Circus, Jackass or 16…and Pregnant.  From what I do know about Jersey Shore…I’m excited to watch, it will be interesting.  I’ve read several bits of controversy regarding the show. I feel like I’m slacking.  No.  I know I’m slacking.  This mom/student/wife/library lady/blogger gig is kickin’ my booty.  Maybe I’m letting it. It’s been a while since I’ve talked about algebra.  There’s a reason for that. I suck at math.  Period. I made it through one class, drove home in tears and haven’t been the same since.  I don’t know who I was kidding.  I thought I could handle Intermediate Algebra.  It’s been at least 13 years since I last had an algebra class…and this, I couldn’t take. I have some exciting news to share!  Friday, I received word that I am an official Brand Ambassador for The View!  *squeeeeeeeee* I started watching The View when I was pregnant with Johnny in 1999.  There were a few years in there when I was working days and wasn’t able to partake in my morning show, summers and non-school days being the exception. It’s time to get personal. We’ve had some issues arise with Johnny.  He’s started in with attitude, and it’s now hurting him at school.  I’ve mentioned that his defense is “What?  I didn’t do anything!”.  And it’s said in a really snotty tone. Now, he’s acting out in school.  It’s not good.  I know something is going on with him…but he doesn’t want any help. So, I just got one of my grades back…and it wasn’t so hot.  Yay me!  I’m going to take the weekend off and kind of regroup.  I need to get it together. And throw myself a great-big HUGE pity party. Honestly, I don’t even know know why I’m trying.  Why…why do I need to go back to school?  Don’t I have enough on my plate?  I always think that everything is going to work out – things will be fine.  Then I get a direct kick in the ass and it brings me down.  So, enough of my Debbie Downer attitude. It could be the setting on my camera, or the pretty pink tiles. It’s probably a combination of the two. Last night I was taking photos of Paige and her wild hair which had been braided all day.  Her bright blue vibrant eyes turned green and her hair a richer shade of red.  Either way, I think she’s lovely!
